One of Gigi's many roles at Aegis is that of special education consultant.  She specializes in using a curriculum-based approach to assess learning needs and prescribe remediation for children who have difficulties in Language Arts and Math. Left unchecked, these difficulties often cause low self esteem, disruptive behaviour, and frustration for both children and parents. Gigi works closely with the children, their families and the school while providing her services.

Gigi has been practising in the field of education since 1976. She has worked as an elementary and middle school teacher throughout Canada, and is presently at Selkirk Montessori School in Victoria as a senior school teacher.

A recent cancer survivor, Gigi has taken on the role as captain of Team Gigi.  Team Gigi is a t-shirt fundraiser for the BC Cancer Foundation, Vancouver Island.

She also fills in as the Office Manager at Aegis, so it's her cheery voice you'll hear reminding you of you appointment.
